About the author
H.C. Verma, a nuclear experimental physicist, is an alumni of IIT Kanpur. A well know writer of scientific books, especially those related to fundamental physics, he is the author of Foundation Science – Physics For Class 9 that is used by most schools in the country.
Born and brought up in Bihar, Professor Verma was not satisfied with the way Physics is taught at school, undergraduate and post-graduate levels in the country. This led him to write on the subject and the two volume Concepts of Physics has been very successful in enabling students of physics to understand complex subject matter because of the clarity and depth with which the author has dealt with it in these books.
